GLASGOW COFFEE FESTIVAL

In 2020 we took GLASGOW COFFEE FESTIVAL* to the streets!

10 DAYS – 50 INDY BUSINESSES – LOADS OF COFFEE!

*GCF at the Briggait has been postponed until it is safe for us to host an event.

Any tickets purchased before April 2020 can used at our next scheduled date… tbc!

Hold tight for Glasgow Festival returning! We still have plans and look forward to bringing you all together as soon as we can do so safely!

Here’s a glimpse of how we did it last time!

We don’t want the celebration of coffee to be on hold! We’ve always been about supporting awesome, local, independent businesses preparing delicious coffees!  So in 2020 we took #GCF20 to the streets of Glasgow! Offering deals and discounts in all of your favourite cafes and indy businesses!

Visiting over 50 coffee shops, roasters and related businesses, we gave access to exclusive deals, discounts and products with a #GCF20 ticket for 10 days of supporting our local cafe culture!

Stay tuned to get involved in supporting independent, local, passionate coffee businesses again – all for the price of a couple of cups of coffee!

The 10 day event was supported by online content, features and live tastings. We stuck to the Glasgow Coffee Festival theme of showcasing Scotland’s speciality coffee culture whilst exploring the city of Glasgow!

Prepare to book your tickets to access our next event with more caffeinated deals than you can handle!

Here’s a reminder of GCF20 via our handy map!

This incredible event was only possible thanks to the support from our sponsors Dear GreenLa Marzocco UK, Indy Coffee Guide & Safe2Go.

Join in next time to soak up the caffeine and the good coffee vibes all around Glasgow!

EVENT INFORMATION

The Glasgow Coffee Festival is usually held in the grandeur of the public hall at the Briggait.

In 2020 we switched it up and used the city of Glasgow as our venue!  Ticket holders could take a day trip to a part of the city they were not familiar with to explore our rich architecture trails or street art tours whilst following our guide to receive discounts, deals and exclusive products in our hand picked list of independent coffee shops, roasters and indy businesses!

Check out the GCF20 map of participating businesses HERE

From the west end to the city centre, east side or south side. In Glasgow you’re never too far from a delicious brew!

Can I buy tickets at the participating businesses?

No. Tickets for any future festival dates can be purchased via Eventbrite.

What deals does my ticket include?

Our GCF20 ticket price included exclusive discounts, deals and products at participating independent businesses in and around Glasgow. 10 days of caffeination, supporting the best local baristas, cafes and roasters! Our map provided a coffee tour helping rediscover our ever growing local cafe culture which inspired the launch of Glasgow Coffee Festival way back in 2014!

Each of the 50 participating business offered a deal during the 10 day event! This could be any of the following and more!

  • Free coffee with every food purchase!
  • 2 for 1 coffees!
  • 20% off your coffee bill!
  • Free coffee with every purchase of beans!
  • Exclusive products and giveaways for GCF ticket holders only!

We’re hoping we can host GCF21 back at the beautiful Briggait. If you had purchased a ticket pre April 2020 it is still valid for our next event!

Is this a child friendly event?

Absolutely! Bring your kids, dogs, family and friends! As long as you’re adhering to current government guidelines anything goes!

Can I bring my own cup?

For sure! We haven’t forgotten about climate change!

Join the #contactlesscoffee conversation on instagram!  The #reuserevolution is still alive and well! Check out what our friends at KeepCup have to say about it!

More on the subject here.

Please respect the wishes of each coffee shop visited. Different policies may be in place regarding the use of reusable cups.

Where do the profits go?

Glasgow Coffee Festival has always been in support of independent businesses and the growth of our local coffee industry. Any profits have always been donated to charity. Our 2020 event is a low budget not for profit event supported by our sponsors Dear Green, La Marzocco, Safe2Go and Indy Coffee Guide.

How do I get around all 50 places?

Until it is safe to do otherwise, our venue is the cafes of the city of Glasgow! Take a trip around the coffee shops of the city centre, Glasgow’s east end, west end, south side and beyond! We’re teaming up with friends around the city to recommend suggested walking and cycling routes where you can also take in the sights of Glasgow!

We’re hoping to be back at the beautiful Briggait for our rescheduled GCF as soon as we can! All tickets purchased before April 2020 are valid for 2021 and 2022 festival dates! Watch this space!

What else is happening?

Our sponsors offered prizes and giveaways and our 2020 event was backed up by loads of online coffee content! Be sure to follow us on instagram at @glasgowcoffeefestival to check out previous festivals and to be the first to hear announcements of all future dates!
