FAQ

What is the GCF coronavirus advice?

The Glasgow Coffee Festival team is monitoring coronavirus (COVID-19) advice provided daily by local government and the World Health Organisation.

The festival has been rescheduled to May 2021. We have adapted some of the festival format to ensure there is minimal risk to our exhibitors, contributors and visitors.

  • Hand sanitiser will be compulsory upon entering the festival
  • Hand sanitation points will be available throughout the festival
  • Our coffee cuppings will now be brewed coffee tastings.
  • We will have distancing guidelines in place all areas of the festival.

To ensure there is low risk to coronavirus to everyone participating in Glasgow Coffee Festival we request the following. Please do not attend if:

  • you think you might have coronavirus
  • you have been in close contact with someone with coronavirus.

Please call 111 if you have the following symptoms, do not go to your GP:

  • a cough
  • a high temperature
  • shortness of breath

Current information on UK Government advice is available here.

The Health and Safety of all participants of Glasgow Coffee Festival is our priority.  We will continue to monitor the COVID19 situation ahead of the new festival date and keep all ticket holders informed.

We very much look forward to celebrating coffee with you at GCF20 and GCF21!

Thank you for supporting us!

Can I buy tickets on the door?

We’d recommend purchasing tickets in advance as all previous festivals have sold out!  This year we are also taking Glasgow Coffee Festival to the streets! Tickets for our 2020 format are available here!

Ticket price includes general admission to access over 40 exhibitors, 16 presentations, 16 tastings, 8 film screenings, product demos, panel discussions, competitions and a prize draw entry!

Is this a child friendly event?

Yes. And accompanied under 12s enter free. We’ll have a kiddy activity area and babycinos galore!

Can I bring my own cup?

just like previous years we are inviting you to bring your own cup to Glasgow Coffee Festival. We are proudly a disposable cup free event and will save thousands of cups from landfill. We will be revising this format for best practice regarding health and hygiene and safety of everyone in attendance at the festival.

How it works:

  1. Bring your own reusable cup! KeepCup will have washing stations and staff on hand to wash your cup so you can keep using it all day.
  2. Borrow a cup from KeepCup! For a £5 deposit, you’ll be given a KeepCup to use on the day.
  3. If you fall in love with using your KeepCup (which we think you will!), you can pay an additional £5 to take it home to reuse again and again.
