Plan Your Visit

Our Sustainable Travel Guide
to Glasgow Coffee Festival

Glasgow Coffee Festival returns to The Briggait so we’ve put together a sustainable travel guide on how to plan your visit to the festival.

We encourage all exhibitors and attendees to travel sustainably to keep emissions low. Depending on how you travel, this guide may help you to find a cheaper, more environmentally friendly way of travelling and ultimately will affect the overall footprint of the festival. Thank you for being mindful of travelling green!

Glasgow Coffee Festival is held at

The Briggait
141 Briggait, Glasgow, Scotland, G1 5HZ
Enter from Clyde Street

WALK

If you live close to the venue, then the simplest and most cost effective method, is of course, active travel. If you decide to walk, please prepare for the weather with appropriate clothing. This is the easiest way to reduce air pollution and emissions in the city, but also has a lot of health benefits and is encouraged by the World Health Organisation.

CYCLE

Another emissions-free mode of transport is cycling! Saddle up and get down to the Coffee Festival.

Not only is it good exercise, but you have no fuel costs. The Briggait is well connected with city cycling routes. There is enough space to lock your bike across from The Briggait. Please note, these areas are not controlled by Glasgow Coffee Festival or The Briggait, so owners leaving their bike here do so at their own risk. Make sure to lock your bike safely.

For route information and personal route planning, Glasgow City Council recommends the use of the Cyclestreets Journey Planner.

For bicycle rental in Glasgow city centre you can contact Voi.

TRAIN

Travelling further? You can get here easily by taking the train to Glasgow Central, Argyle Street or High Street. From each station it is roughly 15-20 min walk. More information, you can check the Scotrail website.

SUBWAY

Why not take a trip on Glasgow’s famous clockwork orange on the way to the festival? Our nearest Subway station is St Enoch, and then it’s only a 6 min walk to The Briggait. Find out more by visiting SPT.
