GCF26: Planning Your Visit

Heading to Glasgow Coffee Festival this weekend? We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know before the weekend.

Getting there

GCF takes place at The Briggait, a stunning set of historic market halls in the heart of Glasgow. You can read more about the venue here.

Located on the Clydeside, The Briggait is easy to reach by public transport, with Glasgow Central, Queen Street, Argyle Street and St Enoch all within walking distance.

You can also check out our sustainable travel guide to plan how you’ll get to the festival ahead of time.

Tickets

The festival is a ticketed event, with four sessions across the weekend:

  • Saturday morning

  • Saturday afternoon

  • Sunday morning

  • Sunday afternoon

Your ticket is valid for your selected session only and we’re not able to transfer your ticket to a different session.

The festival has now sold out and we don’t have tickets available at the door. To stay up to date with any additional releases before the festival, you can join the waiting list.

There’s usually a queue before each session, so we’d recommend checking the weather before you come along and dressing accordingly!

What to expect on the day

Your ticket gives you access to over 50 coffee-focused stalls from roasters and cafés. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to try coffee, chat to exhibitors and pick up beans, equipment and more.

The festival takes place across the Briggait’s market halls, alongside the exhibition spaces where you’ll find a full programme of tastings, talks, roasting demos and workshops.

We’ll also have a selection of local bakeries and food vendors on site, so you can grab something to eat while you’re there.

The festival can get busy, but there’s plenty to see and do. Take your time and enjoy exploring the space.

What to bring

We’re a single-use cup-free festival, so please bring your own reusable cup.

You can also borrow a cup from our partner 2GoCup on the day.

What’s on?

We’ve got a packed programme of talks, workshops and events running throughout the weekend.

For the first time this year, we’re hosting the Best Roaster UK competition, which is a peer-judged challenge in which 10 roasters submit a competition coffee alongside one from their own range. You can read more about Best Roaster UK and see who’s entered here

We’ll also be hosting the SCA Brewer’s Cup, a national coffee brewing competition designed to showcase the craft and skill of manual filter coffee brewing.

There is also an amazing line up across our Talks Room, GCF Stage, Cupping Room and  Gallery space. You can find the full line up of events here.

All sessions are first come, first served, so if there’s something you don’t want to miss, we’d recommend heading there early.

Our workshops and talks are open to everyone with no expertise needed, so it’s a great chance to try something new!

Accessibility

The Briggait is fully accessible, with step-free access, lift facilities and accessible toilets.

The venue is well signposted, and our team and volunteers will be on hand throughout the weekend if you need any help.

Glasgow Coffee Festival is all about great coffee, good people and a welcoming atmosphere  and we can’t wait to see you there.

Tickets for the festival are sold out, but you can join the waiting list or sign up to our mailing list to stay up to date with all things GCF.

Thanks to our GCF partners La Marzocco, Mossgiel Organic Farm, Dear Green, Story Shop, Jaguar as exclusive distributors of Eureka Coffee Grinders, 2GoCup, Brewed by Hand, BWT UK, and The Social Hub 🙌☕️
