Meet The Team - Josh - Social Media Manager

Next up on the Glasgow Coffee Festival team is our social media manager, Josh! A regular at the festival, Josh is in charge of our social posts, blogs, and keeping in touch with all you lovely folk.

What’s your name, and where are you from?

I’m Josh, and I’m from Glasgow(ish)! 

What does a typical day with GCF look like for you?

I’m responsible for the festival’s social media marketing! I work with the internal team, stallholders, and partners. I’m also the person responding to all your messages!

What's your favourite cafe/roastery in Glasgow/Scotland?

Honestly, there are so many great ones in the West End; Space, Amulet, Songbird, 1841, Alchemy Experiment. Anywhere that does a good handbrew!

What's your favourite thing about Glasgow Coffee Festival?

I’ve been working with/attending GCF for a few years now. Apart from the coffee, I love being a chatty Cathy and speaking with the many, many lovely folks that attend. Always good cakes on the go too! 

Are there any vendors/speakers you're particularly excited about?

I very much like the look of Company Bakery. Also, Oddy Knocky, a Manchester-based roaster, is attending. I don’t really know them, but I like the name!

Aside from coffee, what are your passions?

Lots, but mainly I love music and cooking elaborate vegan meals.

If you could have coffee with anyone, anywhere in the world, who would you choose, and where would you meet?

Maybe with my gran, just in her house, or on a sunny day on a big hill, by myself. 

What tunes are you adding to the festival playlist?

One or two Confidence Man tracks for sure!
