Meet the team: Zsófi - partners manager
Without our partners, Glasgow Coffee Festival couldn’t exist. Whether they’re providing equipment, coffee or water, getting the word out, or giving our visitors somewhere to stay, they’re an integral part of the festival operation, which makes Zsófi’s role a very important one! What’s your name, and where are you from?
I’m Zsófi, and I’m from Hungary, but I lived in Glasgow for 4 years during uni - it’s very much a second home, alongside Nice, France, where I also spent 3 years.
What does a typical day with GCF look like for you?
I take care of the amazing sponsors and partners, as well as being responsible for Best Roaster UK competition. I also work within the GCF26 team.
What's your favourite cafe/roastery in Glasgow/Scotland?
One of my favourite cafés in Glasgow is Laboratorio Espresso, always great coffee, and good vibes.
What's your favourite thing about Glasgow Coffee Festival?
I do love how it brings people together from different backgrounds and places, over one thing: good coffee. People seem to have a lot of time for good coffee and conversation.
Are there any vendors/speakers you're particularly excited about?
I look forward to ROEST’s demo at the weekend, and looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces from the past years, as well as getting to know new people.
Aside from coffee, what are your passions?
I love discovering new places and having nice meals with friends, preferably outdoors.
If you could have coffee with anyone, anywhere in the world, who would you choose, and where would you meet?
Would be good to have a coffee with Mia, one of my best friends, whom I only get to see once a year since I moved back home. It would be somewhere along the Nice Port area. She would make us filter coffee with her Aeropress.
